Indivisible NKY District 4

As the Indivisible NKY District 4 leadership team plans for 2018, it has become clear that we will need some funds to support upcoming activities.  Last year, the primary source of funding consisted mainly of
the leadership team and a small group of active members.  To achieve our goals for this year, we need to expand our funding sources.  We don't have annual membership dues, nor do we ask for recurring donations toward our efforts. We would like to set up a Go-Fund-Me account for members to donate when they can. If each of our 800 members donated just $10, that would sustain the group’s efforts for an entire year!

Here’s what the money will be used for:

 1.    Events – booth fees at local events (some are as high as $500 or more for a single event).  Goal is at least one in each county of District 4.

 2.    Postcards to Voters - we WILL be doing a MAJOR mailer in the fall of handwritten postcards to folks who typically are not contacted by anyone asking them to get out the vote.  We will cover the cost of the postcards and want to cover as much of the postage as possible (which is the major part of the expense).

 3.    New banner and signs - we are in the process of updating our logo, and we want to have fresh banners and signs for all our events. We arealso sponsoring at least one debate for our primary Congressional candidates in which new signs will be a necessity.

 4.    Safety gear - we need a battery-powered megaphone and orange vests for our protests and other events. 

 5.    Event supplies - cases of water, soft drinks, stickers, trinkets/prize new business cards, printables (flyers, handouts, surveys), snacks

Upcoming in March, we potentially have our first major event of the year- the #MarchForOurLives.  Ideally, we would like to have collected enough money in a short period of time to purchase our new banner and signs and cover any potential permit or insurance fees for such an event. After that, we would just let the "pot" grow and use the money as the needs we listed arose.

As a grassroots organization not affiliated with anyone but citizens of Kentucky, we depend on each other in all our group efforts.  Words cannot express how grateful we are for all your support and involvement in everything we have done thus far.  Please know that every penny helps our cause but only donate if you can. For some, this can be a way to show support when actual physical participation is not an option.

We are so proud of everything we have accomplished over our first year and want to make sure we can continue.  We are very thankful for each and every one of you! We look forward with hope, perseverance, persistence, and resistance to a fabulous 2nd year together!
