Indira and her family need our help

I have a very dedicated, hard working employee in my company who has had a very hard life.  She lost her mother when she was 5. Her father, who did not know how to read or write raised her and she had to take on adult responsibilities as a child just to help her father with reading and writing.  She lost her father also and he left her with quite a few loans assigned to them both, so she has had to make payments on those which she signed when she was only 18 and didn't really understand that she would ultimately be responsible if her father passed.

She has been with her husband for 15 years and they have 3 young children together a 4th from his previous marriage, whom Indira has raised as her own since he was 4 years old. They live with her mother-in law in a 2 bedroom apartment.

Her husband is a driver for a home healthcare equipment company, however, in July they cut his hours because there was not enough work and since then they have been struggling even more to make ends meet.

Despite all her troubles,  she comes to work every day and puts on a happy face to deal with our patients and co-workers.  She does her job well.  She wants to get ahead, but keeps facing one problem after another and doesn't seem to get a break in life.

They are behind in rent, utilities and a car payment loan they took out on the title of their only car.  She was just served with eviction papers and she doesn't have any family to go to or ask for a helping hand.

There are many people in this world with similar or perhaps even bigger challenges, however I don't necessarily personally know them. I do know Indira. I know she is dedicated and makes it to work on time. I know she is giving it her all and is trying to keep her family together and out of the street.   She is applying for part time jobs but hasn't found any. Her husband is doing the same but has had no luck.  They don't want charity, they are willing to work harder and longer if that is what it takes, but in the meantime they need help.

Please think about a donation, anything helps.  Perhaps you can give up your Starbucks one morning or perhaps eat home and donate the money you would've spend on your next restaurant meal.   Maybe you can forgo getting a manicure/pedicure for a week and donate that amount.  Or if you are lucky enough to give and not have to forgo any of your amenities... then please think about helping out a fellow human being in need.

My company has already donated and so have some of her other co-workers, however we still need more to help her through this desperate time.

Thank  you so much for reading this.  I will be so appreciative of your contributions towards Indira and her family.  We have all had times when we needed help and somehow or another that guardian angel came into our lives to lend a hand.  Be that guardian angel for someone. Pay it forward...
