Recently forced into homelessness this single father needs help to stabilize and continue to be able to take care of his family. He was given exactly 48 hours to evacuate from his home of two years this last weekend due to concerns of covid-19 exposure from the landlord. He is an "essential" worker who was not eligible for a stimulus nor does he receive hazard pay. This person is not only the foundation for his two children but also supports his other family members when needed. He is a strong family oriented person who needs stability to help those he loves. What happened was not only unjust but somewhat illegal. Alonzo has chosen to take the peaceful route of just picking up the pieces and moving on. I have witnessed this person work so hard for his family and receive little to no help or support, this is why I am reaching out as we are in a time reparations and our BIPOC need serious support. Any funds donated will be going to securing a new place to live as well some necessary car expenses so he can continue to get to work as well as drive his family to weekly doctors appt.
We are aware of what a challenging time it is for everyone right now so anything that can be shared is deeply appreciated. Blessing to you and your families.
