Inderjit's Fight w/ a Rare Disease

Hello, my name is Inderjit Kaur and I humbly ask for your help.  The past few years have been difficult for me.  Despite being a victim of domestic abuse as a young woman, I overcame struggles and was living happily as a single mother of a beautiful 13 year old boy.  I had my father in my life and was proud of myself for taking care of my responsibilities and continuing to learn about life and be devout to God.  

However, my life took a turn for the worse when my father passed away.  He was the only male figure that my son had in his life.  As we were grieving, I fell very ill.  What started off as small rashes over my body soon became known as Dermatomyositis and Sjogren Syndrome.  This is an autoimmune disease where my own body fights me.  My skin tears off and my muscles weaken to the point where I am unable to walk and care for myself.  I constantly live in pain where my only will to get better is seeing my son smile. 

After I was diagnosed with this disease, I was put on medical leave.  While on leave, my employer decided to terminate me.  I have been fortunate to get by with what savings I had, but now I am in a position where my son and I will be homeless.  It breaks my heart that my 13 year old son takes care of me after-school.  We have no income and he begs me to let him work in order to take care of the house and not live on the streets.  My son shouldn’t have to worry about this or his mother.  I wish he can do what average 13 year old do. 

I do not ask for much, but I do not have much choice.  If you are able to help me and my son stay safe inside our home, I would very much appreciate it.  I have asked my friend’s daughter in-law to set this Go Fund Me and also ask for your prayers for God to heal me.  Thank you for your time.
