Do you know us?
Maybe you do - maybe not. But if you love making movies, indie or low budget, we definitely want to meet you! We love the stories YOU tell, and crave the tales spun by those not tethered by the big studio execs. We love YOUR movies, short films, and stories of the fantastic. We love the horrors, terrors and wonders of the imagination - alongside the heart ripping or hilarious ideas of life in general.
It's been over ten years since IndyRed.com began reviewing and supporting YOUR Indie, low/no budget projects - and we are feeling our age.
Who are we and why we are campaigning?
IndyRed has been reviewing and supporting independent and low / no budget film since 2009. A destination for honest, well written reviews for over a decade. We don't do big studio - and will continue that tradition.
However, it's time we dipped into the fountain of youth and expanded the site - becoming more inline with today's indie needs. Features, storage and another full time reviewer or two is among our goals. Indie forever!
Goals.
• Another full time reviewer - even more if possible. We know the wait time for a regular review is atrocious, and the back log of pending write-ups is long. We've even had to discuss adding another day to our expedited service... there's just so much cool content out there! We'd love to downsize the wait time, not increase it.
• A members only section for CREATORS and VIEWERS. We want to offer some kind of registered member service, for both creators and the audience that LOVES watching! Will there be perks? You bet! From discounted expedited options and promotions for your projects, to a community based place for viewers and lovers of all things indie. We've played with this idea for a long while, but like everything else, it isn't free to create and implement.
• A slight design update with more of a focus on YOUR great content. Easier shares and bigger things on the horizon.
We could go on... but this is already feeling like a six hour movie. The bottom line? We could really use your help. Period. If you're still here, thank you. For all your support. Past, present and future.
