Increase the peace and knife crime prevention

Hi, my name is Danny Davis and I am Ramarni Crosbys uncle.

Just last week my little nephew was sadly taken away from us in an unprovoked knife attack. This has broken us as a family and I am setting up this fundraiser as I do not want another family to ever have to suffer the way that we are. As a family we are completely devastated and are struggling to understand how someone so young, with their whole life ahead of them can be taken in such a way. As you have probably seen on social media, Ramarni was a very much loved young boy who enjoyed rugby, music and being out with his friends.

During the last few days I have seen Gloucester come together as a community and share various ideas for how we can work together to prevent further knife attacks and educate our young community.

This is something I now want to be very much apart of so that we can try and provide young kids with community resources- like we had when we were younger. We want to get kids off the streets and into safe places with supervision. The only way we will be able to do this is if we come together as a community and help the likes of Delroy Ellis- Increase the Peace and provide him with the facilities he needs to further mentor these kids.

Any money I raise will go directly to youth outreach in Gloucester.

What I am going to do to get the ball rolling is run 5K every day throughout January.

I have spoken to Justin Hudson at Butlers Venue Bar (Eastgate Street). He has given me permission to use his venue as a starting point every day, I would love as many people as possible to join the run in order to raise as much awareness as possible for knife crime.

Ramarni loved rugby so it would be really nice to get the rugby community to come down and join in if and when available.

All welcome- even if its a one off run.

Each run will start at 7pm every night starting at Butlers Venue Bar. Beginning on the 1st January 2022.
