We are very close to completion! The elementary school is complete! The middle school site is nearly complete - short funding for the gaga ball pits and basketball court. If you can help us with this last final push we would so appreciate it!
The Manhattan students love their new "zoned" playgrounds! Even with the current COVID-19 restrictions students are outside playing and enjoying all of the new spaces!
The Middle School Eclipse Net play structure and outdoor seating/classroom are complete!
The Elementary School renewed swing set and basketball/funnel ball areas are done! The Elementary school also has an outdoor classroom!
The elementary new play structure and musical area are complete!
Currently, the elementary school playground is in desperate need of surfacing material, new equipment, and removal of old equipment. In addition, the newer middle school building's sole playground feature is a basketball court. They are in need of climbing and other age appropriate equipment.
Five Montana State University Mechanical Engineering Seniors were tasked for their Senior Project to design two new safe, inclusive, accessible, and unique outdoor areas. The MSU group has designed two outdoor areas and are now working with Manhattan School Board to contract out the playground structures and outdoor play areas.
With your help, we will be able to achieve this goal and give Manhattan two playgrounds that will last for generations.
