Inclusion Song Project

This Inclusion Song project was born out of the dedication and desire to promote and raise awareness of the importance and benefits of inclusion in sport and society.
The project has been developed and produced by the incredibly passionate people of Judo Assist Ireland and performed by the amazingly talented inclusive students of Black Eagle Judo and Judo Assist Tipperary.
The project highlights the incredible ability of all our children who have varied abilities and disabilities. What shines through our children is the incredible spirit of inclusion and friendship which spreads and thrives within our communities.
We engaged the very talented singer/songwriter Jamie Lee Forde from Cloughjordan, Tipperary to help us write and record our inclusion song. After which the children's creativity went into overdrive, deciding the format of the project, from the colourful t.shirts, the video shoot locations and the action shots they wanted to demonstrate.
In addition we also taught the children how to sign (ISL) the chorus of our song in order to include our hearing impaired friends.
A great deal of time and effort was dedicated to this project, we hope you enjoy watching and listening to it as much as we enjoyed putting it together.
We have attached a funding appeal to the project, the aim of which is to raise funds to further develop our inclusive and special needs/autism judo program. The program is a very important development tool for people with varied abilities and disabilities and is operated in community based clubs, special schools and autism educational settings.
We want to further advance this development by supplying soft play equipment to special ed schools and autism educational settings and help develop a teacher training program so that the therapeutic element of the program can be shared with more children that will benefit greatly from game based soft play physical activity.
