6/21/19 UPDATE:

I wanted to start off by saying THANK YOU to everyone who has taken the time to donate and share my sister‘s GoFundMe page. We appreciate everyone’s kind words and generosity!! Right now, we still very far from our goal of $15,000 so please help us keep up the momentum, continue to share and donate, if you have the means to of course. Tash is still out of work, going on 6 weeks now, and still needs help making ends meet to pay household bills, car payments, buying groceries, etc. If you haven’t read the story about how she had the accident please read below, and if you can donate or share...every little bit helps! Please send prayers and positive vibes for a speedy recovery...she still has a long way to go!!!!!

On Tuesday, May 14th my sister Tash, suffered a terrible fall, breaking her Tibia and fracturing her ankle and fibula, causing her to have emergency surgery to rebuild her ankle and have a rod placed in her leg.

That afternoon, she was walking her 2 dogs to the car, to take them to a friend’s house to play with their kids and bring them dinner. Her pups Stella & Chewy got excited, pulled the leashes so hard it made her fall in the driveway, and the impact of twisting and landing on her leg caused the breaks/fractures. She was home alone, so she screamed for help, thankfully a neighbor heard her and came over to catch the dogs, then her landlord immediately called an ambulance. She was taken to the nearby hospital in Key Largo for x-rays and the doctor there referred her to South Miami Hospital for emergency surgery on Thursday. After her surgeon performed the surgery, he said she will not be able to put ANY pressure on her foot for at least 3 months and wear a boot for 6 months, as many of you know she’s a server and that’s impossible to do with one leg and crutches!! She cannot drive (because it’s her right leg), and she will basically need someone at home with her round the clock.

Her boyfriend Juju, has been amazing with helping make her comfortable and getting the house ready for her, but she is in a lot of pain and won’t be able to work until she is healed. To top it all off, she does not have health insurance so the medical bills are mounting as she has already had an ambulance ride, emergency surgery and 3 nights in the hospital. (Not to mention the physical therapy she will need going forward!)

That being said, the purpose of starting this GoFundMe is to help her get back on her feet (literally!) during this difficult time, as she will have no income over the next several months.

There is no donation too small, and if you can’t donate I completely understand, just please find it in your heart to share her story and get the word out.
I
Thank you all.
