In remembrance of Romaine Brooks

My name is Eleanor Porter VonAchen.  I am a friend of Romaine Brooks and my husband worked with Romaine at Ten Course Hospitality.  I am voluntarily raising money on behalf of Romaine's family to pay for his funeral.  The money will be going straight to McClenny Funeral home to cover the costs so the Brooks family can finally put him to rest.

Thank you for all who have donated.  We have added Peirre Brroks, Romaine's brother, as the beneficiary so he may pay the funeral expenses.  

Due to some unexpected fees and bills, we have raised the limit for the fundraiser.  We hope you all will help over the next week to bring this total up so we may finally put Romaine to rest and give his family and friends closure.  

Last weekend we mourned the loss of a friend, a father, grandfather, son and brother and a damn good man. He always had a smile and a joke and he loved everyone. He was loved by so many and left behind a large family. As his family grieves, they shouldn't have to be burdened with the cost of a funeral. As his "other" family, we'd like to help in any way possible. Please join us in an outpour of love for his family. A funeral is set for Saturday and we will post all the info here when we have the details. Please join us in celebration for the life of a truly humble and loving human being. Anything raised here above the cost of the funeral will be put in a trust for Romaine's children. Something Romaine himself will not be able to help with. His son and his family should not have to worry about these burdens. Every penny counts. Thank you.
