In Remembrance of Danny Ives

Daniel (Danny) Ives abruptly and tragically died on Saturday, September 5th, 2020.
This horrific accident is an immense loss for Maplewood/South Orange, surrounding communities and the universe as a whole. To know Danny was to love Danny. His absence will be felt for years to come.
Danny’s love of bikes, scooters, motorcycles, mopeds and anything else that ran on 2 wheels was how he brought people together. In an effort to keep Danny's legacy alive for many years to come a foundation will be set up in his honor. While the foundation is still in its infancy stage, all contributions collected through this "go fund me" page will be used as a jumping off point to continue his "movement".
The Danny Ives Foundation will serve the community that he loved and will incorporate both bike riding and safety. Two things at the forefront of every parents mind, no matter how old their children are. The charity will aim to give back by providing helmets, locks, bicycles and other accessories to underprivileged children so that they too will have the chance to experience Danny's greatest passion. Danny's mother, Martine, with the assistance of family and close friends will lead the organization and continue to spread the love and energy that Danny shared with everyone he met. Once the goal has been reached through our initial fundraising campaign here on "gofundme.com", all donations will be transferred to the Ives family- who are currently in the works of starting a 501c3 nonprofit organization in his name. Through various foundation- sponsored events and charity we can all continue to celebrate Danny's life for many years to come.
