Honoring Vincent: Support for the Deiters Family
Donation protected
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the devastating news that Kristen and Mike Deiters, both cherished members of our Clayco family, unexpectedly lost their beloved son, Vincent, on April 2. He was just shy of his second birthday. As they navigate this unimaginable loss, we want to come together as a company to support them in any way we can.
Vincent was a true fighter from birth. He bravely battled Shwachman-Diamond syndrome (SDS), a rare genetic disorder that affected multiple body systems. Despite facing numerous medical challenges, including a bone marrow transplant at just six months old, Vincent was full of energy and joy. He loved playing catch and brought endless love and happiness to his family.
In addition to this heartbreaking tragedy, the Deiters family recently moved into a new home, only to discover major foundational issues requiring costly repairs. Throughout this time, Vincent had been in and out of the hospital, adding emotional and financial stress to their lives.
Kristen’s sister, Jessica Neuman of LJC, is also deeply impacted by this loss as Vincent’s loving aunt.
We’ve set up this GoFundMe to help alleviate some of the financial burdens they are facing, allowing them to focus on healing and remembering their sweet Vinny.
Vincent was recently named the KIDstruction Ambassador for St. Louis Children’s Hospital, a program that unites the construction industry to support pediatric care. In honor of Vincent, we encourage you to participate in KIDstruction this year. You can learn more about Vincent’s story and this initiative here.
Let’s rally around Kristen, Mike, Jessica, and their entire family and show them the strength of our Clayco/LJC community. The Deiters family thanks you for your generosity, prayers, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
