In Memory of the Peoples Coach

The outpouring of love shown towards the Tarvin family has been amazing. However we as recipients of the amazing love given by Coach Tarvin realized that we needed help from our community. Coping with death can affect every area of someone’s life, which means there is a lot of room for others to pitch in and help. Our beloved
John Tarvin affectionately known as Jay or Coach was a mentor, coach, husband, friend, humanitarian, musician and the ultimate hype man!

Tarvin was senselessly taken from his wife(Tracey) children (Kam, Jaiyda, AJ & Hari) family, friends, & the children he coached/mentored all too soon!

Jay dedicated his life to making the lives of children in & out of the city of Hattiesburg better by the love he gave as coach of various sports. As a highly respected pillar of the Hattiesburg community, Tarvin will be missed.

We are all devastated by Jay’s loss and were not prepared for the huge financial burden it would leave. We want to help alleviate this burden and honor his memory.
I am currently asking for donations to help with financial burdens that may arise even after a funeral service.

Jay was met in Heaven by his baby boy Jakhi.
