<div>In life, she was many other things: mother, wife, friend, Wal*Mart "Happy Helper" award winner, and most recently, amateur-seamstress. But, when the COVID-19 pandemic changed our world, mom did what she always did, found a way to help.
</div>

<div>Despite convincing her to uproot from Indiana, quit the retail job she loved, and live in a makeshift apartment in Tom's house (in hopes to keep her safe from the airborne virus,) she refused to just wait out the storm. 
</div>

<div>Mom spent last year making masks for friends, family, and total strangers, often just donating them for no charge at all. In fact, she kept extras in her purse just to give away when people complimented them.
</div>

<div>Last summer, she made hundreds of masks for a fundraiser to support Riley’s Children’s Hospital. Her efforts netted hundreds, and every penny went to helping others. 
</div>

</div>
<div>Before mom passed away, she was geared up for another summer spent mask making for the children’s hospital. A few days ago, she had all the material ready. All she wanted to do was help others. Her hopes were to once again donate to the children’s hospital. She didn’t brag about this, or expect anything in return. To her, it was simply the right thing to do. Sadly, she was gone before being able to do this again.

<div>So in her honor, our family is asking anyone who wishes to give, to consider donating to the charity that meant so much to her, Riley’s Children’s Hospital, and help us see her final wishes met.
