My mother passed away on April 16th from kidney failure due to complications of cancer at the young age of 70.   She was a very caring person, she always took care of everyone else before herself.   She loved her family and friends, she loved plants and nature.  She could bring a dead plant back to life.    She especially loved animals. Over the years I watched her care for lost animals, birds that fell out of trees, animals that were hit by cars, Dogs, cats, deer u name it, abandoned animals like rabbits and chipmunks that were left behind,  And she would feed just about every animal everywhere.  I watched my mom care for the neighbor that lived next to her for 6 months until he died, she would run arrons for him, go to the store, buy his groceries,  and help in any way she was able. This neighbor was never nice to her never had nice things to say about her and she knew it, but yet when she knew he was in need she was there to aid him until he passed.  She loved her kids and her grandchildren.    Growing up she always made sure we had everything we wanted or needed at whatever cost to herself.  I dont think she even bought herself a new pair of socks till I was like teen.  As grandparent she beyond spolied all four of her grandchildren that she loved more than anything. Even though she was very sick for the last 6 months she was barely able to eat or able to do much of anything. she would drag herself to go to the store or anything she needed to do cause she didnt want to trouble anyone......  My mother was the hardest working person I've ever met in my entire life.  she worked for the Milwaukee jouranal sentinel for  27 years,  7 Days a week, every single night thru the Snow, Rain, Cold,  even if she was sick or if her car broke down,   She would borrow someones car, or rent a truck at her own personal expense just to make sure the papers were delivered.   In 27 years I dont think she ever missed a day  not even after being beaten and car jacked not once but twice, not even when she would have gallbladder attacks, broken fingers,  broken ribs, or even sick with pnemonia  she would throw on an extra sweatshirt and some vicks and away she would go.  (well she did miss 2 days and thats cause she was in jail for some tickets I got on her truck  but that's a whole nother story....  my poor mother the things I put her thru... I will never forget driving up n down streets looking for her on the sides of roads thinking she was robbed or hurt.  I never prayed to god so many times in my life,  except recently while she was in the hospital.   I was not ready to loose my Mom and I Believe she was called back home before her time.   But my mom was like an Angel, she was so selfless.  So I would like to Believe that God had bigger plans for my mom and that she will continue to do goid deeds from up above... My mother's wishes were not to have a service nor did she want alot of money spent on caskets, burials, flowers, etc she wished to be cremated and her ashes spread over the lake where she grew up.  She felt the money could be put to better use.  So in honor of my mother  we would like to raise funds to make donations in memory of her to The  Wisconsin human society, and the Cancer Research Institute.
