In Memory of Sammy Foster

Sammy Foster had a heart of gold and touched the lives of so many people in our community and all it took was a smile and a simple wave. Every
afternoon or early evening you would find Sammy sitting in his chair in front of his garage waving to
the cars as they drove by his house. Most of us
didn't know him personally but we felt a
connection to him because he impacted all of our
lives. On February 6th a tornado hit our area of
Spartanburg and several houses were severely       damaged, Sammy's house being one of them. The
garage doors were blown in and are not operable. The next day, on February 7th, Sammy passed
away from health complications. The family has
been through so much with the damage of the
tornado and the loss of their father. Fortunately,
Sammy had homeowners insurance but the
deductible is $1000. Let's pay it forward and help
this family out by raising money to repair the
garage doors. We will all miss Sammy dearly! He
truly impacted the lives of so many people with a
simple wave and filled our hearts with love and
kindness.  Let's continue to beep our horns and
wave to Sammy in heaven when we pass by his
house and most importantly wave to our
neighbors and spread the joy and kindness that
Sammy did.
