In Memory of Ryan Slattery,RN,BSN, Healthcare Hero

The world lost a true hero today. Our “under the El” crew will never be the same. At just 43 years young, Ryan Slattery passed away unexpectedly during this unprecedented time in history. Ryan has been a dedicated and hardworking employee of Jefferson Frankford for many years. He was an ER charge nurse who earned his place as one of the best nursing supervisors we have ever known. Ryan saved many lives during his career. His infectious laugh and immeasurable knowledge made every shift bearable even when things seemed to be falling apart. You always knew he had your back and that the patients under his care had a fighting chance because they had him there. The best of the best. His love and devotion for his family was undeniable. A true family guy who always put his wife Kristin and kids Christopher, Marissa, Killian and Scarlett first. Ryan juggled family time and work better than anyone and made countless memories that will certainly last a lifetime. Ryan would have been a first time grandfather this June. The family could use our help to ensure his children can continue their paths to successful futures, as Ryan and Kristin worked so hard to instill in them the importance of hard work and education. Kristin is also a dedicated employee of the Frankford campus working on the frontlines as a nurse. They were the dynamic duo of nurses.  Any donation can help to offset funeral expenses, as well as make sure his kids are not lacking in anything, especially their education.
