<div>My father made me make a mantra to guide me in life, so I chose to keep it simple. To simply never be a liability. My father is dead. He took his own life and died March 28, leaving his 4 kids and wife behind. But his lessons, both good and bad, will stay with us forever. I must stay strong for my siblings. <strong>I must be an asset.</strong> My dad took care and taught all of his kids well, from the age of 16. With three of us on the spectrum for autism, he granted us ways to run past our life's hurdles. The oldest even realized his dad's dream and joined the army. He must have felt we were ready if he left.

<div>With the previous suicide of his brother in 2009, the death of his father after grueling hospice care this previous year, and growing financial troubles, <strong>Ruben Trevino</strong> chose it upon himself to bottle up his pain, which deteriorated his mental state. He must have felt alone and out of options. With everyone who has come here to help, I know that I am not. <strong>Any donations, no matter how small, will assist.</strong> None of what's ahead will be easy and will most likely take a long time to heal from, but I know we can get out of this okay. With your help, for my family, for my late father, I can learn the strength to be an asset.

<div>Mi padre me obligó a crear un mantra para guiarme en la vida, así que opté por la simplicidad. Simplemente, nunca ser una carga. Mi padre falleció. Se quitó la vida el 28 de marzo, dejando atrás a sus cuatro hijos y a su esposa. Pero sus lecciones, tanto buenas como malas, nos acompañarán para siempre. Debo ser fuerte por mis hermanos. Debo ser un recurso valioso. Mi padre cuidó y educó bien a todos sus hijos desde los 16 años. Con tres de nosotros en el espectro autista, nos brindó maneras de superar los obstáculos de la vida. El mayor incluso cumplió el sueño de su padre y se unió al ejército. Debió sentir que estábamos preparados si se iba.

<div>Con el suicidio previo de su hermano en 2009, la muerte de su padre tras una agotadora atención en un hospicio el año anterior y los crecientes problemas económicos,<strong> Rubén Treviño</strong> decidió reprimir su dolor, lo que deterioró su estado mental. Debió sentirse solo y sin opciones. Con todos los que han venido a ayudar, sé que no lo soy.<strong> Cualquier donación, por pequeña que sea, será de gran ayuda.</strong> Nada de lo que nos espera será fácil, y probablemente tardará mucho en sanar, pero sé que podemos salir airosos de esto.
