In loving memory of Ruben Salas

In the early morning hours of September 28th, Ruben Salas was taken from his family in a sudden and unimaginable act of violence. Born on April 15, 2011, Ruben was only 15 years old, and his loss has left a deep void in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him. Melanie is organizing this fundraiser for her son as the family faces the heartbreak of saying goodbye far too soon. No family is ever prepared for this kind of pain, and losing Ruben in such a senseless way has brought overwhelming grief and shock during a time that should have been filled with hope for his future.

As the family begins the painful journey of laying Ruben to rest, this fundraiser will help cover funeral, burial, and other unexpected expenses. The support will allow Ruben’s loved ones to focus on grieving, honoring his life, and being there for one another instead of carrying this financial burden alone. Melanie and the family humbly ask for the community’s support during this devastating time. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean more than words can express. If donating is not possible, sharing this page would also be a meaningful way to help honor Ruben’s memory and support the family through this heartbreaking loss.
