In memory of Raymond Valcich, please join us in raising funds for the all-volunteer Tannersville Rescue Squad.
These brave members of our local community were a big support to my family during my father's long health struggle. It was always comforting to see a familiar face in an emergency - and we had a few. As a former FDNY firefighter, my dad was very grateful for their service and care. That's him on the right in the photo above.
Due to COVID, the Rescue Squad's biggest annual fundraiser, the Chicken Barbeque, was cancelled in June. (Not for nothing, this chicken barbeque was *the* social event of my pre-teen summers.) Funds will assist with everything from equipment to training and upkeep.
