Pam Grover Kordosky, our long-time Adventure Time site director at Thornhill Elementary, passed away unexpectedly over the Labor Day weekend.
To say Pam's death was a shock is an understatement. For many Thornhill parents, Pam was Thornhill, as she welcomed our kids in the morning, saw that they started the school day properly, and then oversaw dozens of Thornhill children for several hours every afternoon. With Pam leading the way, Adventure Time became one of the most-popular, and best locations for parents seeking after-school care for their children. Pam truly cared about all the kids at Thornhill, and thanks to her, and the A.T. staff, Thornhill parents knew their children were always in good hands.
But, Pam was more than an employee at Thornhill. Her daughter, Fiona, graduated out of the school in the spring of 2019 and moved on to Montera Middle School just last month. Pam was like one of us, a parent who believed in what Thornhill could do for her child.
Fiona, and Pam's husband, Kevin, are dealing with a tragedy right now. Thornhill has always been good, and generous, when helping our neighbors--our family--in need. Fiona and Kevin will have many unexpected expenses coming up, and it would be wonderful if we could show them how much Pam meant to all of us, and how we are there for them. Any donations you can make will go directly to Fiona and Kevin.
