In Memory of our Hero, Hailey

Hailey Anne Michele Caesar was born January 5th, 2004. At the young age of two, Hailey`s journey with Sick Kids began. Sick kids soon became a second home to Hailey and her family. Hailey was wheelchair dependent and was fed through a feeding tube. Hailey was battling several challenges such as bone disorders, heart conditions and lung complications. Hailey gained her angel wings at the age of 14, with her family by her side at Sick Kids hospital. Hailey touched the lives of everyone around her, was a true inspiration and fierce warrior that fought bravely for her life. She was tough as nails as her bro would say. Her memory and strength will forever remain timeless in the hearts of her family and friends. Her mother Nikki has braved this heart wrenching journey with Hailey and has never left her side. Hailey was a Sick Kids ambassador and was the face of the Sick Kids ``VS`` campaign. Hailey and her mother Nikki, had t-shirts made with her special motto and message of inspiration ``Just Be Brave.`` Hailey graduated a year early from W.J. Watson in June of 2017. Hailey looked beautiful and so grown up on this special day. Hailey loved to support both her brother and sister, attending every hockey and soccer game, when she was well enough to do so. Their number one fan, always cheering them on. Hailey was often seen supporting both, the Georgina Blaze and Georgina Ice Hockey Team, watching her big bro playing the game he loves. Hailey loved to watch her sister play soccer, through the rain or shine. Hailey will be missed every day by her brother Jesse and little sister, Reese. Their lives changed on August 22nd, 2018, when they tearfully said goodbye to their little angel and light of their life. Hailey was dearly loved and will be missed by every person that was a part of her journey. A beautiful funeral was held in memory of Hailey, and we are asking for kindness, compassion and support to help ease the burden that has been placed upon this special family. We are reaching out to family, friends and the community in order to raise contributions, to help cover remaining costs, and support this family through the hardship. All condolences & contributions are graciously appreciated. The family will continue to grieve the loss of their special loved one, and Hero, Hailey. Hailey is now a Guardian Angel to her mother, Nikki, Big Bro, Jesse & Big little sister, Reese and so many others that she loved. Hailey believed in her heart and told her family that she would be going up to Heaven, to be with the Angels, and would become a beautiful white butterfly. As true to Hailey`s legacy, she has donated her eyes and given the gift of sight as her final wishes. 



As her mom would always say, life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
