In memory of our great friend and ball player Phillip Salazar.
Phillip was born January 27, 1959 and passed away July 31, 2019 suddenly. Phillip was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His family was most important and at the forefront in his life. He was always in a good mood, loved to laugh and make others laugh. Phillip was always a jokester. Growing up in New Mexico, Phillip was a state wrestling champion in high school. Phillip was a devout Catholic, volunteering his time as a Deacon for St Joseph’s Church in Cotati. He loved all sports, baseball by far his favorite. Phillip joined REBL in 2014 and drafted by the Blues. In 2015 joining the Ports, which eventually became the Mustangs and in 2018 becoming a Dragon in the 55+ division. Phillip always gave 100% on and off the field. Proof of this was his uniform condition being a filthy dirty mess by the end of the game. Another one of Phillip’s passions was fishing. He loved and enjoyed fishing with his friends, family and loved ones. In January, Phillip turned 60 and had recently purchased a home in Cotati with his lovely wife and best friend Starr.
We ask you today to please join us in contributing towards medical expenses, memorial service expenses and assisting his family in their time of great need. A gift of any size will assist Starr and Phillip’s family with the necessary arrangements during this time of need. It is with the help of great friends and family that Starr and her children can have a beautiful Celebration of Life in memory of Phillip. All proceeds will be sent to Starr Salazar in assisting her during this difficult time.
