These last few weeks have been a living nightmare for us. Our beautiful, brilliant, wildly talented Mila is gone. Even to write those words, is an out of body experience. We don’t know how this next part works, how we navigate a world absent of her, but we guess that it’s going to be with a lot of love and support and navigating our hearts to the awareness of the beautiful things in our lives.
Your incredibly generous contributions to a scholarship fund for our beloved Mila has been one of those beautiful things we’re holding dear. Thank you. Thank you for making it possible for us to scrabble together something good out of all of this misery. Thank you for allowing us to offer to other young people, for years to come, some support as they head out into the world and do good of their own.
To experience the incredible outpouring of love and kindness from each and every one of you has been a salve for our aching hearts. To you all, our deepest gratitude for shining the warmth of your light on us all. We are overwhelmed and we are deeply moved. Even in anguish, beauty permeates.
