In memory of Mason Hallock

My dear nephew, Mason William Hallock, passed away on January 30th, 2018 at the age of 15.

He was going to be 16 in March, and he always spoke of his plans for the future. He looked forward to driving, to snowboarding, to skateboarding, to camping. Like any family that has to endure the shock and pain of suicide, we are moving through this unfathomable tragedy and heavy grief moment by moment. We are trying to navigate through this new reality of not having Mason's light in our lives. 

Mason was a gentle, loving, beautiful young man. He was a very loved son to Jessica Hallock, a goofy big brother to his sister Morgan, and a cherished grandson to Mary Ann and Bill Hallock and Janey Cross. To me and my husband and Mason's Aunt Georgiana, Mason was a wonderful nephew, and our boys adored their cousin. 

Before 1/30/18 Mason chose to live with his grandparents, Bill and Mary Ann, in Bayfield. They took exceptional care of him and showed him so much love and support. He attended high school in Ignacio where Mary Ann works, and I know the school and that community is grieving his absence as well. 

The funds raised here will specifically go to the funeral home costs, the cost of travel for his mother and sister who currently live in Oklahoma, and any of the unforeseen costs that may arise.  The fund  will also go towards a memorial to be planned at a future date either in Oklahoma or Bayfield to celebrate Mason's life.
