My father, Mark, has recently passed away. He was a great man who helped not just me but others around him. He was homeless, living in his car, but still came to be in my life through thick and thin. He was a hard worker and made a lot of friends along the way. He had health issues but never told me much besides being diabetic. I tried to help him as best as I could and tried to be there for him. He was always there for me when I was in pain and when I just needed to talk. I know that his life was hard, and he wanted to be there for me. He never really had a father of his own, but he did have a father figure named Gabby who was always teaching him new things, like fixing up cars, going fishing, and being a man in life. What he learned, he then passed on to me, carrying the weight of the world to raise his son. I will always remember the times and memories I had with my father, but I am just a young man who needs to get help and heal from this traumatic experience.
