Family, friends, and supporters,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Laurie Michelle Posten, following a brief illness, just days before her 40th birthday.
Laurie was a passionate person who loved animals, little children, racecars, motorcycles, and most of all, her friends and family.
Laurie was always willing to offer forgiveness and was first in line to help a friend in need. Laurie was a chef by trade. Creating a delicious meal was just one of the many ways she showed her love to others, and she made a career of that enthusiasm for cooking. She worked at Summit Lanes before spending several years cooking at Johnny's Tavern, Addiington Place, and most recently the Canoe Club, Lake Lotawana. She believed in second chances—so much so that she chose to be an organ donor in death, in the hope that someone else could live on. Among those surviving is her daughter, Persephone Posten, who at just 15 years old, will have an unimaginable road ahead.
All proceeds will go to funeral expenses and Persephone’s future needs.
