How do you write a memorial for one of the best mothers in the world? I have no idea what to say or what to even ask for here, so I will just follow their suggestions.
My mother was the most amazing women I knew. We were not always involved with Scotties. Before that it was camping and baseball. One of our camping trips actually led to our first Scotty. The ranger had a dog named Scotia that started it all. She was also my team mom. My dad was the coach and she worked the snack bar. Before that she was a baker. Each holiday I would take in a themed cake for my classmates to enjoy. We had heart shaped cakes. Christmas Trees, you name it, my mom could make it. Before that she just my mom. She was just in charge of me, and I loved it. She was Italian to the bone. Her pasta sauce was as authentic as all the words that came out of her mouth. As you can see, she was everything to me, my dad and many of you.
Unfortunately this world is temporary and she was taken from so many people in a single instant, without any pain. My mom lived a life that was full of dedication and love to everything she was passionate about. Now it is time for us to honor her.
My mom had many friends all over the world. I know that you all shared a special love of scotties and a deep appreciation for each other. Many of you have been asking where to donate money in her honor, so we decided to set up this GoFundMe page. I know my mom's passing will leave a void in so many hearts that can never be filled. The whole in my heart is tremendous.
When speaking to my father we decided that the funds from this memorial campaign will be used to help pay for her funeral services. We decided this so that those who feel inclined to donate, can take part in one of the most important things we have ever done for her. The funds will be managed by my father, Al Jennings and will be deposited into his account. I, Mike Jennings, will be planning the memorial to be held within the next two weeks.
My father and I want to personally extend a thank you to all of you who have posted on facebook. It is such an amazing thing to read all of the love everyone had for my mom. It has helped us deal with our sudden loss. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving her a wonderful life and helping us honor her in death.
