Story

On behalf of Ray, Savannah, Madeline & Elizabeth I regret to announce that my sister Holly Helvik passed away tragically and unexpectedly on the morning of Wednesday, May 11th. Holly was a beautiful, vibrant and amazing woman who loved & accepted everyone and had a contagious laughter, beautiful smile and a deep love for her family, friends, & God! She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 24 years (total of 29 years together) Raymond Helvik, three beautiful daughters, Savannah 27, Madeline 22 & Elizabeth 18 and two darling grandchildren, Jaidin 7 & Nadine 4, her parents Richard & Rhonda and a sister, Terra. Holly unexpectedly became ill on Mother’s Day, she thought it was the flu. On Tuesday morning it was decided she needed to see a doctor, before she could leave the house she fainted & her daughter called the ambulance and Ray rushed to her aid. Holly was taken to Three Rivers, was having difficulty breathing and they decided to induce coma and intubate her. They ran many tests and discovered that she was experiencing a rare condition, necrotizing pancreatitis and she was sepsis with multiple organs failing. The prognosis was immediately devastating with little hope for survival. Her best chance was to be transferred to a hospital that could perform dialysis. She was transferred to Rogue Regional where a team of doctors, nurses and specialists worked tirelessly for 24 hours to diagnose & treat Holly. They tried everything they could be unfortunately her body was not responding to any of the treatments & she passed away at 6:45am Wednesday morning with her family by her side. Holly was taken much too soon and this is a complete and total loss and devastation for her husband & her children. She is the rock of their family and she is their home. There are going to be many financial difficulties ahead for the family. This fund is to help Ray & his girls to not worry about finances during this tragic time for their family.
