In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to help rebuild Camp Upward Bound which was destroyed by a recent forest fire.  Camp Board members all voted to rebuild since this is such a valuable resource for so many amazing people with special needs. All that is left  of the original Gates School location is 2 brick chimneys.  Bricks from the chimneys will be used to  create a memorial flower garden named, Papa and Grammy's Garden.  This holds special meaning since Shelby's papa was a gifted brick mason in San Jose, California.  Please help us not only bring this garden to life but help Camp Upward Bound rebuild.  Shelby and the hundreds of campers and staff who are heartbroken and eager to return to a new and improved Camp Upward Bound Gates will be forever grateful.  Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.  We love you papa, Harold Burks, aka Mr. San Jose Memories.  Your three daughters, Lisa, Stephanie and Stacia were honored to be by your side as you left this world. We love you dad! More information about Upward Bound Camp for Persons with Special Needs, Inc.: We provide recreational camp activities and educational opportunities for people with special needs.
