In Memory of Grace Rett

On January 15th, 2020 the world lost a beautiful young woman in a horrible accident in Florida where she was training for her upcoming rowing season with Holy Cross College, something she loved and became a world record holder for continuous indoor rowing for all age groups. Grace was a beautiful young woman who was a talented singer, athlete and a excellent student. She loved the schools she attended, Our Lady of The Valley, Marianapolis, and Holy Cross and treasured the relationships she formed at each of them. She was an amazing sister and best friend to Brianne. She was a wonderful daughter to Mary Jo and Chris and the 4 of them were a strong example of what family means. Grace was kind and compassionate. She had a stong faith. She would be the first to offer help to anyone in need. This all, of course, is a result of a wonderful upbringing by her remarkable family. For anyone who knows the Rett family they know how generous they are with their time, knowledge and support.
My family has known the Rett family for 14 + years. Grace was the first one to welcome my daughter Charlotte into her new school in 3rd grade and have remained friends ever since. Charlotte described Grace as " this girl had the biggest heart, a passion for life like no other, and never let anyone or anything stop her from accomplishing her goals. she is also the only person i know who could quote “finding nemo” word for word (one of her many talents) . not to mention she is also a world record holder!!! my love for music, art, and basketball have all stemmed from grace. she deserved everything this world had to offer."

This fundraiser is to help support any needs the family may have including bringing Grace back home from Florida, funeral costs, loss of wages and anything else the family may need. If you can help support them financially please do so and if you cant that is OK. I know the family would appreciate prayers to get through this difficult time. Also, as a special tribute to Grace, we would ask that you make time to make a difference in your community or towards an individual as Grace did for so many. I know Mary Jo, Chris and Brianne would appreciate whatever you can do.
