In Memory of Firefighter Sean DeMuynck

UPDATE:  On July 6, 2021, PA Governor Wolf ordered the commonwealth flag on all commonwealth buildings, facilities, and public grounds in Montgomery County to fly at half-staff in honor of firefighter Sean DeMuynck who died in the line of duty July 4, 2021. Everyone is encouraged to participate.

The Penn Wynne/Overbrook Hills Fire Company and the community are mourning the loss of one of their own, volunteer Firefighter Sean W. DeMuynck. Sean, a native of Canada, bravely served the local community since 2019 while his beloved wife was completing a fellowship in microbiology at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. On July 4, 2021, just 24 hours prior to returning home to Canada with his wife, Sean responded to a fire that tragically took his life. He was only 35 years old. He leaves behind his wife, Melissa, his parents, and other family members.

Please join us in raising funds to support Sean's family during this tough time. All proceeds from this fundraiser will be distributed to Sean's wife, Melissa.

Thank you!
