In Memory of Evgheni Babiuc
On Friday, August 24th 2018 ,our friend Evgheni Babiuc was found deceased by Police in his truck at BP Truck Stop in Suffolk, VA.
After delivery he went to the truck stop to rest. A few hours later, the company he was working for, received an email from the broker, which stated that the driver passed out at the receiver couple hours earlier that morning. The receiver tried to stop Evgheni from driving and took as much information as possible about him and his Company. Evgheni stated that he is perfectly fine and is good to drive. He told the dispatcher that the floor was slippery and that was the cause of his falling. He said that he is going to take some rest.
Company located the truck by using GPS system,which was installed in his truck. Company called him numerous times and he never answered. After they contacted the truck stop where he was parked and asked to check the truck to see if the driver is in there. Truck stop personnel knocked at the door for few times and driver didn’t showed up, truck was running and locked.
Police was contacted by the Company. When police arrived, they opened the truck and found Evgheni without breath.
Autopsy showed that Evgheni had Pulmonary Embolism.
The deepest sorrow, pain and grief is what his family and friends are feeling now.
Evgheni was a truly good friend, joyful and positive person.Friendly and with great sense of humor, always helped his friends and was there for them when they needed him.He was a hard working man, trying like all of us to achieve his dreams and support his family. He had a big heart, and he will always be remembered and missed.
All funds will go for funeral expenses and to his family. Transportation to Moldova will be paid by the Company that Evgheni was working with.
