Hi, my name is Elizabeth.A few weeks ago, my world crumbled. On July 15th, I lost my father—a kind-hearted soul who left an indelible mark on everyone he met. He was our rock, a beacon of strength and love until the very end at 68 years young.
His passing hit me like a ton of bricks. We had planned so many moments together: trips to take, stories to share over dinners, even just quiet mornings catching up. But life is unpredictable—and that's something I learned far too painfully this year. My father was more than just my dad; he was the glue holding our family together. His loss has left a gaping hole in all of us, and it feels like we're trying to navigate through fog. In these moments of grief and reflection, one thought keeps me going: We owe it to him—and ourselves—to give him the dignified send-off he deserves.
His life was marked by hard work, he worked third shift at Hilton Davis for 40 plus years he started in July of 1976 and kept going until he couldn’t, his kindness, and an unwavering commitment to his family. He worked tirelessly to ensure we had everything we needed, even when times were tough. Now, in return for all that love and sacrifice, we want to provide my father with the final farewell fit for a man who touched so many lives.
That's why I started this campaign—to raise $2000 to cover his services. Every bit helps us honor him as he deserves, without having to worry about financial burdens during such an emotionally charged time.
I believe in the goodness of people and in paying it forward. If you feel moved by my story or know how much this would mean for our family, please consider helping out. Whether it's a small contribution or spreading the word, every bit makes a difference—and I can promise your kindness will be felt deeply as we navigate through these dark times.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read about us and considering this request. It means more than words could express during such trying times.
