Troop XX has made this page in memoriam of Cpl. Mike Lerat. Our Troopmate, who was taken too soon, was loved and respected by many. The funds raised will be donated to his children.
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of an incredible father, husband, friend, brother, and respected member of the RCMP. Mike was a dedicated father to his beautiful children, Alissa and Brayden, and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for the love of his life - his wife, Sheri. They were the light of his life. His love for them was paramount and priority over everything else. He will forever be remembered as the witty, hardworking and generous man that he was.
Mike passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 and left behind a legacy of professional accomplishments. Mike will be missed as a dedicated, trusted, and accomplished member of the RCMP. He became an advocate for PTSD, and wanted to help others and give back in any way he could. It was the little things that mattered.
Mike will lovingly be remembered by his wife Sheri; his daughter Alissa; and his son Brayden, all of Regina, SK. Also left to grieve is his father Eugene Lerat; sister Alisha (Joe) Rogoschewsky; and their two children Ryder and Ella; sister Tracey (Ryan) Mengel and their three children Peyton, Keira and Logan; brother Tyler (Blair) Lerat, and their three children Taye, Crue and Ethan; half-brother Eugene Bellrose; brother-in-law Jason (Danielle) Lux and their three children Logan, Jakeb, and Colton; and father-in-law Murray Lux.
Mike was predeceased by his mother Grace Lerat; and by his mother-in-law Elaine Lux.
A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Royal Canadian Mounted Police Depot Chapel, 5907 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
n lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Michael may be made to any Royal Bank of Canada branch for a trust fund for Alissa and Brayden in care of Sheri Lerat.
