Hello all,
It is with a saddened heart, but hopeful spirit that whomever is reading this message will help in whatever capacity they can.
Carlos "Wende" Sanchez, a son, brother, uncle, step-dad, friend, barber, a loving and compassionate man sadly passed away on February 1, 2025 from what started as a heart attack on January 31, 2025.
Some of you may have never met Carlos personally, but know that in your circle of life, you do indeed have a Carlos there.
Your Carlos may be that one person who will always tell you how proud he is of you of the person you are and/or have become. A person who will give you whatever money he has in his wallet because he knows you might need it to support yourself. A person who will pick you up in his car at the most random time to drive you home because you need a lift. A person who will give you his meal because he knows you're hungry yourself. A person who will give you a haircut for free just because. A person who will open their doors for you with no questions asked. A person who will have a drink with you because you enjoy their company. A person who will go fishing with you because you enjoy fishing. A person who you call when you need a friendly ear to listen while you vent. A person who can make you smile with their contagious smile and laughter.
See, you do know who Carlos is. This is who Carlos was (and will always be) to us! This is who we are asking this money be raised for. We know that he would have never asked for this type of help because he wouldn't have wanted to be a burden on us. But I know that he would gratefully appreciate the support given.
I know that when 2 or more are gathered God is in the midst. And with that mindset I know that 2 or more folks can make such a huge difference in life. We are hoping to raise $15,000 to help with the cost of the funeral arrangements and his burial costs.
If you can so kindly donate whatever amount you feel led, please do so. I am also asking if you can please share this with everyone and anyone you can. The more hearts this can reach, the better chances we can have at reaching our goal.
I thank you, on behalf of the whole Sanchez, Rodriguez family for donating, for sharing, and for taking the time to read this message. I pray that whichever way you help is blessed and multiplied twice over.
With love and gratitude,
Veronica Cortez
