In memory of Brian Drebber

Brian Drebber, longtime broadcaster and podium announcer was in a fatal accident on August 23, 2018 while riding his personal motorcycle from his home in Ball Ground, Georgia, to the airport to travel to Pittsburgh International Race Complex for the weekend MotoAmerica racing event.

Brian Drebber touched many lives during his time on this earth, not only in the racing community, but everyone that he came in contact with on a day to day basis. “Dreb” as he was affectionately called, helped a number of riders and racers over the years, he was also was active in his local community. Whether it was through mentoring or personal giving, Dreb was a selfless man.

Brian is survived by his daughter, Robin, and granddaughter, Kylie, who are devastated by the sudden loss and overwhelmed with the road ahead.  This donation page is set up to help with initial financial support as at this time, there has not been accessible savings or life insurance available for immediate support.

Should you have the means, please donate to support his family. Our goal is $5500 to put our beloved Dreb to rest. Additional donations will be split between two of Brian’s passions, motorcycle racing and honey bees.

Updating the story per GoFundMe's request – In case anyone is not aware of my relationship to Brian and how the money will be used.

My name is Matthew Lynn and I am from Woodstock, Georgia.  Brian helped me get my professional start in American Motorcycle Road Racing. I’ve known Brian since late 2003 and we spent about 5 years together racing in some form or fashion. He was always around and was THE most dependable guy you could ask for!

I think the first time we meet, I was sweeping out the team rig for the first team I raced for. I remember thinking “Holy Cow!” That’s Brian Drebber.” He had come up to my dad’s property to get his suspension done by “Thermosman” who at that time was parking his trailer up at my dad’s place.

I moved on from racing in 2010 however, Brian had moved up to Ballground, GA in the meantime. He actually ended up settling down as my dad’s neighbor.  Brian traveled with us a couple of times across the US for racing events and they were certainly adventures. Never a dull moment with Dreb hanging around!

I started this page to help with some of the costs of the memorial service and other bills that are due now. All the money collected will go into a personal checking account and expenses will be paid directly from that account. All accounting will be tracked and documented into a spreadsheet that can be sent out on request.

Being close to the situation and talking with Robin and Kylie, the idea was to help pay for memorial costs along with helping the family get through the first 30 to 60 days and get their feet underneath them. Available balances in checking accounts or any life insurance has not been available at the time of posting.
