In Memory of Arden: Support DIPG Research

Tax deductible
Our Youngest, Piper has a birthday coming up and she has BIG plans. She lost her dear friend and DIPG warrior, Arden Sawtelle to brain cancer just a few days after her birthday (May 20) last year. All of the sudden, Piper was thrust into a world where 8-year-olds don't live forever. It took us months to be able to go out in public and not fall to pieces at the most random moments. And then the fears nagged with the big questions... about cancer, and God, and death, and heaven and goodness...

And then in December, she had a BIG idea. She missed her own birthday party for a funeral last May, and this May, in lieu of a birthday party, she is planning a yard sale, bake sale, and a Go Fund Me to raise funds to support research for pediatric brain cancers.  We have selected an organization called Chad Tough, and 100% of all money we raise will go to them.

More information about The ChadTough Foundation: The ChadTough Foundation is committed to funding research and increasing awareness for pediatric brain tumors, specifically Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). Children are typically diagnosed with DIPG between the ages of 5-7 with around 300-350 new cases per year in the United States. The median survival rate is 9 months from diagnosis, with long term survivors totaling less than 1%. Private support is crucial for pushing DIPG research forward.
