<div>Jackie Jurmain (Caleb) was an elementary school teacher in Toronto who left a lasting impact on her students and colleagues at several schools -- most notably during her extended time at Glen Ames Senior Public School.

<div>In her memory we have set up this fund that will directly support an annual award to be given to one Grade 8 student each year at Glen Ames who goes above and beyond in demonstrating a passion toward social justice through their creative expression and/or leadership in the school or community.
</div>

<div>This reflects some of the passions beyond the classroom that Jackie held close and inspired in her students.
</div>

<div>Funds raised here will be transferred in spring 2022 to an account managed by the Toronto District School Board so that this award can be delivered in perpetuity. 
</div>
