My grandma was a tenacious woman who always fought for life. She fought for more than six months to stay alive with us a little longer. We tried everything to help her get better. Still, her death was unexpected, as we are never ready to say goodbye to one who was so precious to us.
Unfortunately, unbeknownst to us, her insurance policy had lapsed and was canceled. We are left with funeral and burial arrangements that cost around 8,000 dollars. Your help with these final arrangements would be a great help to us. She deserves a decent burial as she has done so much for this world.
She was not just a mother, grandma, and great-grandma but a warm-hearted woman who shared hugs with everyone. She was also a STRONG woman who stood firm in order to hold her family and friends together. She taught us to LOVE each other! We appreciated her great sense of humor and her many stories. She shared her gifts with each one of us. Please give what you can and help us in the time of need.
Here is a short Bio of my grandma:
Delores Lois Biscoe was born and raised in Washington, DC, where she became a daycare teacher for 30 years. Even in retirement, she remained a hard-working woman. She went back to teaching and also had the opportunity to work at the town hall in Fairmount Heights, Maryland. She was a receptionist for the town hall. She worked for the mayor, which was an opportunity of a lifetime. She enjoyed working for the mayor a great deal. Ms. Biscoe always had a beautiful soul, and she kept everyone laughing. Just about everyone knew Ms. Biscoe and her life brightened up the world.
