In Loving Memory of Vireakboth Sok (Nak)

Donation protected

Dear all those who have been touched by Nak’s dear life personally or who have been simply touched by his story,

It is with unexplainable sadness in our hearts and such heartbreaking news that our beloved family member Vireakboth Sok was tragically killed in a workplace accident yesterday. Nak’s unexpected death has been widely publicised on 7News Melbourne. Nak’s death was tragic, horrific, heartbreaking and will leave an indefinite scare in the hearts of his family and friends.

Approximately at 5:30 am on the 2nd of August 2021, Nak’s family member received a phone call from the ambulance asking for his blood type, a moment later, knocks on the door from the Police officer were to inform Nak’s family about the accident which had cost him his life.

Vireakboth (Nak) was such an incredible young humble man, kind-hearted, loving personality, full of passion, dreams, and a long life plan ahead. Nak is only 23- years old, he recently came to Australia striving for a better life and to fulfill his dreams. Little did we know, our beloved Nak who had gone to work just as all of us do tragically lost his life and will never return home again.

To say the least, Nak was a loveable person to all those who have known him, his heart was transparent with his acts of kindness for all those who surrounded him, he was a completely selfless and caring young man. There are not enough words to describe Nak, he came to Australia not only to gain a better life for himself but also to support his family, attempted to also give them a better life.

We would like to pay a tribute to this incredible young man as he led a life with remarkable morals, values, and principles. His life demands notice due to his flawless character as a genuinely good human being. It brings us deep sorrow to our hearts knowing that Nak died alone, he suffered alone. His parents received a call regarding his death, of course, is the worst kind of phone call any parent could ever receive.

An additional sadness is that his parents who are undergoing devastation, utter shock, and heartbreaks are currently in Cambodia trying to find a way to return to Australia to join the funeral and saying a final goodbye to their beloved son.

Due to the current situation (pandemic) has placed financial burden on his parents. Therefore, this page is to support Nak’s parents in the hardest time of their lives and to give them the well-deserved opportunity to be a part of his funeral.

We are hoping for publicising this page so that we can raise as much helps as we can, any contribution will make a huge difference for his beloved family.

We appeal to the compassion in the hearts of people who have known Nak or who have only heard about his tragic death to contribute in order to alleviate some of the financial burden. All funds will be passed on to the family when they are ready to accept and are in need of the funds.

From the bottom of our hearts, we sincerely thank you in advance for your support and we cannot explain how much your generosity will be of support to Nak’s family.

Yours sincerely,
