My father suddenly passed away at home Oct 8, 2020. He will be terribly missed by his wife, Sylvia Underwood, of 53 years, his family and friends.
With the support of his family and the teaching and guidance of his AA family, he had 30 years of sobriety.
My dad was a wise and compassionate man, always there to help a friend or a stranger in need.
Prior to retiring, he worked as a counselor at both Simon House Recovery Centre, an addiction treatment center, as well as a Not-for-Profit Charitable organization for offenders and ex-offenders.
Unfortunately, my parents were not prepared for his passing, having no will or life insurance. My mother has been left with extensive household bills, funeral expenses, as well as dealing with the grief of losing her husband. My mom retired almost 10 years ago and has a limited income.
The funds raised in the next two weeks thru GoFundMe will help my mom with these costs.
