In Loving Memory of Our Beautiful, Sweet Destiny!

When gun violence tears apart a family personally, it attacks beyond being a headline, a media talking point, community advocacy, and sensationalism. It tears a hole in the hearts of all who loved Destiny Litt (McGhee). A 23 year old young woman who was only beginning to embark on her own destiny, her own legacy of life beyond her tender age. The tears of loved ones: a mother, a father, siblings, grandparents, a husband, extended family, friends, and a community, cannot ever fill this void. Asking “why” a thousand times, getting angry, and receiving a thousand condolences, and flowers, only begins to help the healing until the buildup of prayers cover the wound and gives us time for the Lord’s medicine to set in.

Since the tragic morning of Friday, August 9, 2019, many of you have called, visited and/or asked what you can do to help. Our family appreciates that and don’t take your gifts and offers of support lightly. We want to ensure that our beautiful, baby girl Destiny receives the proper and beautiful home going service that she deserves. We need your support to ensure that this happens and support to cover the expenses of this very tragic and unexpected time in our lives. No gift is too small! Services will be held on August 26th at 11:00 a.m. (Location TBD)
