In loving memory of Manuel

Manuel was well known for his BIG smile and his generosity of spirit, whenever someone needed help. He never said no, he seemed tireless in his efforts. It's now our turn to step up and help Manuel's family as they deal with the unexpected and untimely loss of their husband, father, brother, uncle and son. Manuel was the sole provider for his immediate family of five and it will be a struggle for them to make ends meet.
Manuel was always a dedicated and hard worker. He never complained and seemed to always be smiling. He provided support and mentorship to the younger workers, always showing them the way. Manuel worked for RDM General Contractors for the last year, but has been associated with RDM and Robert McCarthy for the over 20 years. Manuel had a very gracious and kind personality and we were all drawn into his lively outlook on life and family.
When I asked for stories about Manuel that I could share, I received the following from Scott Willson, a close friend and co-worker: "It's hard to put into words all the memories I have of Manuel from the last 20 plus years. What my family and I think of the most is of course his BIG smile, but also of the 7 years he volunteered helping me get the Little League fields ready for game day. All the kids and parents knew & loved him. He was sad when it all came to an end and we often reminisced about those fun years! I will never forget him and will miss him greatly."
Manuel was a very accepting person and embraced all he met with his smile. His appreciation of simple pleasures is a rare quality, and we treasure Manuel's perspective and hope to carry it forward on his behalf.
At this time, we are hoping to "Pay it Forward" to show Manuel's family how much he meant to all of us. We are raising funds to uplift his family in this time of need. So it might be a little easier to breathe, knowing that they continue to have a roof over their heads, food on the table and gas for the car.
