In Loving Memory of Joshua Scott Lane

For those who haven’t seen it up close, Schizoaffective Disorder (Schizophrenia + Bipolar Disorder) is one of the most horrible, debilitating diseases in existence. It’s not only insufferable for the ones diagnosed, but emotionally, physically and financially crippling to anyone trying to help care for a loved one fighting this never-ending battle.

Joshua Lane has been struggling with this disorder for the last 6 years with the support of two very strong women; his mother and sister, Patricia and Jennifer Lane. And while he lost touch with most of the friends in his life (a notable symptom), his family was with him every single step of his journey.  All the while, being forced to watch the man they loved slowly consumed by his illness and transformed into someone they often felt like they didn’t know.

On August 8th, 2019 this terrible disorder claimed Josh’s life, leaving his family with the most difficult part of this battle, burying the only man that’s been with them for the last 35 years. Due to the circumstance, Josh’s final expenses go far beyond what could possibly be expected. While there’s little we can do to ease Patricia and Jennifer’s grief, assisting in covering the cost of this heartbreaking part of their lives is something we can do. If you’re able to, please contribute to the Lane Family in loving memory of Joshua Scott Lane.
