Jonathan Ceballos – The Bear Tatan

Entered Eternal Life on August 10th, 2017
Jonathan Ceballos was born in Mexico City in 1978, he came to the United States of America when he was 13 and lived here for 26 years. The Bear Tatan was 39 years old when he entered eternal life. He was a truly inspiring person, an amazing and loving Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and Friend. He was a successful business owner and always ready to lend a hand when needed. He was involved in our community dedicating his time to working in organizations such as CREER and Friends of the Library. At CREER, he was a mentor to our children, helping in shaping their futures with words of wisdom, but more importantly, setting an example. He taught them how to be caring, loving and generous, and how to treat one another with love and respect, but also to stand their ground without stepping into someone else’s.
Jonathan was a gentleman who was loved by most everyone who knew him. Our Bear Tatan slipped away in his sleep surrounded by his family and a few of his closest friends. We have no words to express our sorrow and despair. Our only comfort is knowing that he is in a better place where he is, once again, free, whole, and happy. Tatan ascended back home to the stars, from where he will be watching over us, rest in peace our beloved. Below, is a poem called Ascension, one of his favorite, and one which gives us immense peace every time we read it.
ASCENSION
And if I go,
while you're still here...
Know that I live on,
vibrating to a different measure
--behind a thin veil you cannot see through.
You will not see me,
so you must have faith.
I wait for the time when we can soar together again,
--both aware of each other.
Until then, live your life to its fullest.
And when you need me,
Just whisper my name in your heart,
...I will be there.
