My family has just lost a good man to the damaging affects of cancer and radiation. He was a husband, father, and grandfather. He was a man who worked hard, worked consistently and continually to provide for his family until his body could no longer physically provide. While alive, he provided for his wife, so she can be at home and take care of the next generations. He provided wit and wisdom, an example of honor, integrity, unselfish love, strength and protection. There was never any fear when you spoke to him. He was truthful, a man of faith, compassionate, and firm when needed. He was a teacher, a coach, and one who would lead by example. He is no longer in this world and will be missed by all who knew him.
As my family and I are working through our loss, we are also working on how to cover the expense of his passing. We are wanting to do a cremation and to have a thumbprint necklace made for my mom. Any help and support would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Thank you all who have been praying for us. Thank you all who have reached out to check in on us. Thank you for all the different ways you have shown your love and support to my family in remembering a great man.
Update 1/28/25
It has been a week since John has passed: a week of grief and mourning. For anyone who has ever lost a loved one, you know and understand the process of making phone calls and appointments, dealing with paperwork, only to end the night and wake up in the morning with feeling alone and unsure of the next step, let alone what the next day will bring. My family and I know that, for now, this is how it will be. But we also wanted to thank everyone who has supported us during this time, with thoughts and prayers, with words of encouragement, with help putting John to his final resting place. Your kindness and care is deeply treasured. Thank you for helping us through this time and by honoring the memory of John.
