<div>It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic and unexpected loss of our beloved Fernando Velazquez, who was taken from us far too soon on September 20, 2025, at the age of 94. He was struck and killed by a reckless driver while doing what he loved most—riding his tricycle around town, staying active, and spreading joy.

</div>

<div>Fernando was more than just our papa and grandfather—he was a pillar in the community, a faithful man of God, and a loyal friend to so many. You may have seen him attending mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, always with a kind smile and a warm handshake, offering prayers and positivity to anyone who needed it.

</div>

<div>He believed deeply in helping others, often putting the needs of family, neighbors, and even strangers above his own. Riding his tricycle every day kept him feeling young, and he often joked that it was his “secret to a long life.”

</div>

<div>Now, we are asking for help as we lay this beautiful soul to rest and honor his legacy. All donations will go directly toward funeral expenses, memorial arrangements, and any legal costs as we pursue justice for the careless actions that took him from us.

<div>Con el corazón roto compartimos la trágica y repentina pérdida de nuestro querido Fernando Velázquez, quien nos fue arrebatado el 20 de septiembre de 2025, a la edad de 94 años. Fue atropellado y asesinado por un conductor imprudente mientras hacía lo que más amaba: andar en su triciclo por el pueblo, mantenerse activo y compartir alegría.

<div>Fernando no era solo nuestro papá y abuelo—era un pilar en la comunidad, un hombre de fe, y un amigo fiel para muchos. Probablemente lo vieron asistiendo a misa en la Iglesia Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, siempre con una sonrisa amable y un apretón de manos cálido, ofreciendo oraciones y palabras de aliento a quien lo necesitara.

<div>Creía profundamente en ayudar a los demás, a menudo poniendo las necesidades de su familia, vecinos e incluso desconocidos antes que las suyas. Andar en su triciclo todos los días lo hacía sentirse joven, y solía bromear diciendo que ese era su “secreto para una vida larga.”

<div>Ahora, estamos pidiendo ayuda para poder despedirlo con el amor y respeto que merece.
