In loving Memory of Felix Diaz

There are no words to express or describe the tragedy of losing someone who holds so dear in your heart. My dad, Felix Diaz was a 3 times cancer survivor, with the last time being diagnosed with stage 4 in 2019. With the grace of God, prayers from family and friends, he was able to beat the odds once again. Cancer does not discriminate against social status, race, gender, religion and sexuality yet, it still played a major role in his health and mortality. His battle was not over.  He continued to fight and struggle with his health for the last 2 years which included him being in a coma for the remainder of the time last year to just to be sent to rehabilitation center in time for Christmas. This last year was the hardest for my mom, Sonia, as her husband of 25 years, was being admitted and discharged for more than 2 weeks at a time. Sometimes only being able to come home for less than 2 weeks as he would return back.

My dad, Felix, is not ending his legacy being known as a man who struggled with his health but who found happiness in his family. He is known as the man who accepted a single mother with 4 children and raised them as his own. Loved each and everyone of us and had our backs through it all. He heard our cries and led us to nothing but happiness whenever we needed to. He cherished his grandchildren and enjoyed their company as it brought him joy as well even during these hardships with his health. He had compassion for everyone around him even when giving up could be an option. He fought all the way to the end knowing that there was just one more left in him. On November 10th, 2020, my dad was admitted to the hospital once again for having respiratory issues. Through all of this pandemic, my mom and family did everything we could to make sure he was comfortable even though it was difficult because of protocols put in place. Our cries were heard as he took his final breathe on November 30th. It comes with heavy hearts requesting for support via prayers and donations. The donations will assist for his burial arrangements as well some assistance for my mom. Any donation will help and is very grateful in receiving. Our family will like to thank you for your donations, comments, calls and all the support you have given us during this difficult time.
