I’m sure I was asked to write this because it was thought that I could put things into words well. On the contrary, nothing can be put into words about the tragic loss of Earvin. He was a father, a son, a brother, a nephew, a friend, and countless other titles that meant so much to him. In fact, his sister put him into words better than I ever could: “He was 27, a cowboys fan, a former high school athlete at Jackson, a father to 3 with another 1 on the way, an avid Tupac fan; had a smile that could light up a room; he was well respected and could make friends with ANYBODY; he was a loving, genuine family man who loved his kids and would do anything to provide for them; he was a man who fell short but found his way back to Christ just last Sunday; and now”…he is a life gone way too soon.
